Last Night on The Bachelor Canada: Brad and the Bachelorettes Looked for Love in the Big Easy

– Bachelorettes Laura F., Melissa Marie, Michelle V., and Stephanie sent home on night two –
– The Bachelor Canada airs Wednesdays at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT on Citytv –

TORONTO (October 11, 2012) From burlesque in the Big Easy (New Orleans) to racing cars – and hearts – in Las Vegas, the first dates of the season got underway on The Bachelor Canada last night on Citytv. Receiving the first rose of the night, innocent pastor Chantelle won bachelor Brad Smith over with her warm heart and willingness to take part in the risqué burlesque performance in New Orleans. Then, while there was no rose up for grabs on the Las Vegas track, Whitney won both the race and coveted alone time with Brad.

Following the group dates, Laura B. received the only one-on-one date card of the week, and later, a rose from Brad during a picturesque dinner and private concert by Juno-nominated, Canadian, singer-songwriter Jill Barber in downtown Victoria.  But before the dates came to an end, Brad had one more surprise in store for Ana – the recipient of last week’s 16th rose – whisking her away for a romantic day on the beach in Tofino, B.C.
During the emotional cocktail party, Laura B.’s jealousy left her second-guessing her chances, while Melissa Marie struggled with being away from her daughter, putting pressure on Brad with some hard questions. With Chantelle and Laura B. safe from elimination, the four bachelorettes who did not receive a rose were (in alphabetical order):

·         Laura F., 23 (medical student), from Winnipeg
·         Melissa Marie, 28 (Playboy model), from North Vancouver
·         Michelle V., 26 (petroleum land administrator), from Calgary
·         Stephanie, 32 (model/neuroscientist), from Montreal

Next week, Wednesday, Oct. 17 at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT, the dating continues as Brad and the bachelorettes explore a cattle ranch in Calgary and take on the sunny south in Mexico. Meanwhile, rivalries sweep through the The Bachelor Canada mansion, as Brad discovers that more than one woman has found a place in his heart. Plus, one bachelorette struggles with a secret while another seeks revenge, and a jaw-dropping rose ceremony leaves everyone on edge. Find out who will earn a rose and who will be sent home as Brad continues his search for love with bachelorettes Ana (Ottawa); Bianka (Mississauga, ON); Britany (Swift Current, SK); Chantelle (Sylvan Lake, AB); Gabrielle (Oakville, ON); Kara (Delta, B.C.); Laura B. (Ottawa); Michelle B. (Newmarket, ON); Nicole (St. Thomas, ON); Sophie (Moncton, N.B.); Tia (Ottawa), and Whitney (Calgary).
