Citytv Prime Time Programming Highlights: Monday, Aug. 27 to Sunday, Sept. 2

- A house rivalry flares up, leading to a surprise elimination on a new episode of Bachelor Pad -
- The semifinals begin on America’s Got Talent with a special performance by alternative rock group Neon Trees -

Monday, Aug. 27:
 
Bachelor Pad: 8 p.m. ET on OMNI.1 (s/ABC), 11 p.m. CT on Citytv Winnipeg, 9 p.m. MT on OMNI Alberta, 6 p.m. PT on Citytv Vancouver
Alliances are put to the test when the contestants compete in a spelling bee.  If the duo that everyone wants to send home wins the challenge, the stronger alliance will have no choice but to cut out one of its own couples.  This week, the one-on-one dates include a romantic barn-yard hoedown and a day exploring the beauty of the Channel Islands.

Hell’s Kitchen
(s/FOX):9 p.m. ET/PT, 8 p.m. CT, 10 p.m. MT
“Four Chefs Compete”  
The final four are swept away to a farmer’s market where chef Ramsay introduces a profit-margin challenge – the chefs must shop for ingredients to create a dish that brings the highest possible revenue.  Later, the stakes are raised even higher when Ramsay announces that a special guest will be joining them for dinner service.  
 
Tuesday, Aug. 28:
 
America’s Got Talent(s/NBC): 8 p.m. ET/PT, 7 p.m. CT, 9 p.m. MT
**Two-Hour Live Performance Show**
“Semifinals Performance Show”
The stage is set for a semifinal showdown, as the first group of 12 acts perform live for America's votes.  Celebrity judges Howie Mandel, Sharon Osbourne and Howard Stern cheer on their favourites.
 
Murdoch Mysteries: 10 p.m. ET/PT, 9 p.m. CT, 11 p.m. MT
**Season Finale**Citytv Original Series**
“Twentieth Century Murdoch”
Murdoch (Yannick Bisson) investigates the claims of a man who says his time travels to the future allowed him to prevent crimes from happening.  Meanwhile, the New Year’s Eve Policemen’s Ball offers exciting personal possibilities for the 20th century.
 

Wednesday, Aug. 29:

America’s Got Talent(s/NBC): 8 p.m. ET/PT, 7 p.m. CT, 9 p.m. MT
**Semifinals Highlight Show**
Relive the excitement of the season’s first semifinal show, with performances from the first 12 of the "TOP 24" semifinal acts as they compete to bring their acts to the next level and be one of three acts this week to make it to the AGT finals and a chance at the $1 million dollar prize.

“Semifinals Results Show”

The votes are in and three acts from the previous night earn a coveted spot in the Top 6, continuing their pursuit of the $1 million prize and title of the Most Talented Act in America.  Also, alternative rockers Neon Trees stop by for a special live performance.
 
Thursday, Aug. 30:
 
Great MovieBest in Show: 9 p.m. ET/PT, 8 p.m. CT, 10 p.m. MT
Actor/director Christopher Guest (Waiting for Guffman) returns with another semi-improvised comedy that casts a satirical gaze on the world of championship dog breeding and training. A television crew is on-hand to document the prestigious Mayflower Kennel Club Dog Show, and the competition is fierce among the canine devotees vying for top honors. Starring: Catherine O’Hara (Glenn Martin DDS), Eugene Levy (American Pie), Jane Lynch (Glee), Jennifer Coolidge (2 Broke Girls), John Michael Higgins (Bad Teacher), and Parker Posey (The Sweetest Thing).
