CityNews Channel and FX Canada Launch Today on Cogeco Digital TV in Ontario

 
- Toronto’s only High Definition, 24-hour, all-news channel is now available to Cogeco digital basic subscribers -
- FX Canada’s critically-acclaimed dramas and hit comedies available as a free preview to Cogeco digital subscribers,

TORONTO (July 24, 2012) – Rogers Media announced today that CityNews Channel and FX Canada are now available on Cogeco Digital TV, beginning today on all Cogeco systems in Ontario.  Viewers can now watch ‘round-the-clock local news, as well as new seasons of returning favourites Wilfred and Louie, and catch upcoming new seasons of The Ultimate Fighter, American Horror Story and Sons of Anarchy this fall on Cogeco.  A free preview of FX Canada will be offered to Cogeco digital basic subscribers starting today until August 31, offering viewers unlimited access to the network’s ground-breaking programming.  
 
CityNews Channel will air on channel 415 in standard definition and in high definition on channel 821.  FX Canada can be found in standard definition on channel 410 and channel 750 in high definition and will be bundled in Cogeco’s Digital Select package following its free preview.
 
Launched in October 2011, CityNews Channel is Toronto’s only 24-hour all-news channel in high definition.  Live from the heart of Toronto at Yonge-Dundas Square, CityNews Channel employs the successful 680News “wheel” format, bringing viewers traffic and weather together on the :1s, sports at :15 and :45, and business at :26 and :56 past the hour.  CityNews Channel’s integrated coverage on both breaking news and in-depth stories is also available online at CityNews.ca and with the CityNews mobile app, available for free on the App Store on your iPad, iPhone or through the iTunes App Store.  CityNews Channel is also available to subscribers through Rogers Cable Ontario and Cable Cable.
 
Bringing cutting edge programming to Canadians, FX Canada delivers hit comedies and thrilling dramas, including original series American Horror Story, Wilfred, The League, Lights Out, Terriers, and Sons of Anarchy.  FX Canada’s unique content also includes movies and Canadian programming.   In addition to Cogeco, FX Canada is also available to Rogers Cable, Telus, Sasktel, MTS, Eastlink, and Cable Cable subscribers across Canada.
