(Toronto – Thursday, January 26, 2012) Next week, award-winning actor and well-known political activist Martin Sheen delves into his family history on a quest to uncover whether his ancestors shared his life-long passion for activism. In the process, he unearths a deeply hidden family secret on the season three premiere of Who Do You Think You Are? Friday night. Plus,Jess recruits Nick’s yet to be labeled “girlfriend” Julia for help after she gets a traffic ticket in an all-new laugh-out-loud episode of New Girl. And on The Bachelor, Ben takes the remaining 11 ladies abroad on a romantic getaway to Puerto Rico where the temperature isn’t the only thing heating up.

An infamous bank robber returns from the past to wreak havoc in San Francisco, putting Detective Rebecca Madsen (Sarah Jones) in a very difficult position.

Bachelor Ben whisks the remaining 11 women to Puerto Rico for an exotic and romantic change of scenery.  He heads out with nine of the bachelorettes on a group date to “play ball” at the famed Roberto Clemente Stadium in Carolina. Then, one lucky lady gets Ben all to herself on a histroic tour of Old San Juan. On his second one-on-one date, Ben takes one of the ladies yachting. After his date, things heat up even more when he returns to his hotel room to find an eager bachelorette waiting for him... will the surprise be a pleasant one? Then, at the rose ceremony, tensions flare when one bachelorette taunts the others by divulging the details of her daring escapade for Ben’s heart.

“Fault Lines”
Crime strikes close to home when a police forensics lab technician, Kelly Mahon, is stabbed to death in her home. While Sam (Paul Nicholls) and Ronnie (Bradley Walsh) pursue their lead suspect, another victim is attacked in what appears to be an identical crime. The second victim, Lucy Kennard (Lydia Leonard, Casualty 1909) survives, but before long, she and Sam fall for each other. Desperate to regain his colleagues’ respect after an indiscretion, Sam puts his own feelings aside to pursue justice.
The Biggest Loser (s/NBC): Tuesday, Jan. 31 at 8pm ET on OMNI.1; 6MT/PT (10CT) on Citytv
A lively challenge that involves bouncing medicine balls on a trampoline tests the speed and coordination of both the black and red teams as they vie for a valuable prize – the ability to choose which player’s weight won’t count at this week’s weigh-in. Then, it’s a blast from the past when aqua team siblings Adrian and Daphne, who were eliminated before they even got to the ranch in episode one, come back to weigh-in and reveal whether they’ve lost enough weight to return to the competition. Then, personality clashes add to the tension in the house before the players decide which contestant will go home this week.

Ignoring Kristin’s wishes, Mike sneaks him out – with a plan to get Boyd home before his mother gets back from work.

Nick (Jake Johnson) panics when Julia (Lizzy Caplan, Party Down) doesn’t want to put a label on their relationship. Meanwhile, Jess (Zooey Deschanel) enlists Julia to help her get out of a traffic ticket, Winston (Lamorne Morris) reconnects with a former booty call (Kali Hawk, Couples Retreat), and Schmidt (Max Greenfield) is baffled as to why his shower towel is always damp.

“Gambling Again”
Burt (Garret Dillahunt) becomes obsessed with gambling when he believes he can reclaim everything he lost when he bet away all the Chance’s belongings 20 years earlier. Worried about his bad habit reemerging, Virginia (Martha Plimpton) and Jimmy (Lucas Neff) try to intervene but soon get swept up in the betting frenzy and develop their own gambling habit.

His search leads him to Ireland where he investigates his uncle’s ties to the Irish Civil War and his devotion to activism. He continues his journey in Spain, where he uncovers another relative who also fought for social justice and was wrongfully imprisoned during Francisco Franco’s fascist regime. As he continues to trace his Spanish roots back to the 1700s, he unearths an unexpected family secret.
