CITYTV’S AMERICA’S GOT TALENT WINS THE NIGHT WITH 1.6 MILLION VIEWERS
– Summer’s hottest reality series outperforms competition nationally –

(TORONTO – September 14, 2011) Citytv voted out the competition as its smash hit reality series America’s Got Talent won the night on Tuesday, Sept. 13 with 1.6 million viewers (Ind. 2+, national). As the leading performer in prime time, the first part of Citytv’s two-night finale extravaganza outperformed its closest competitor of the night, CBC's Rick Mercer Report (1.2 million, Ind. 2+, national).

Last night, the final four acts – Team iLuminate, POPLYFE, The Silhouettes and Landau – competed in hopes of winning the $1 million prize and the opportunity to headline a show in Las Vegas. Tonight, in the live, two-hour finale, special guest stars will perform before host Nick Cannon reveals who America has chosen as its favourite act.
