MID-DAY FESTIVAL ENGAGES CITYTV FANS WITH FUN-FILLED INTERACTIVE EVENTS TO CELEBRATE ITS SUMMER LINE-UP INCLUDING: AMERICA’S GOT TALENT, HELL’S KITCHEN, THE BACHELORETTE, BACHELOR PAD, MURDOCH MYSTERIES AND MORE…

SINGING SENSATION, JACKIE EVANCHO, WILL PERFORM LIVE ON STAGE TO KICK-OFF THE SEASON PREMIERE OF AMERICA’S GOT TALENT AND PROMOTE HER NEW ALBUM, DREAM WITH ME, DEBUTING JUNE 14.

(TORONTO - May 17, 2011) Join Citytv at Yonge-Dundas Square in Toronto on Tuesday, May 31 to celebrate Citytv’s summer line-up. The free festival runs from 11:00am – 3:30pm, highlighted by an exclusive Canadian performance by 11 year-old musical prodigy, Jackie Evancho, at 12:30pm live in the square to promote the premiere of America’s Got Talent that night at 8pm.

The main stage, hosted by Breakfast Television’s Kevin Frankish and CityLine host Tracy Moore, will feature star-studded appearances throughout the day including: Yannick Bisson and Hélène Joy from Murdoch Mysteries; Jessie Sulidis and Craig McKinnon from Bachelor Pad season one; Jennifer Valentyne and Frank Ferragine from Breakfast Television; along with a very special performance by America’s Got Talent season five finalist, Jackie Evancho. She will be performing three songs from her first, full-length album, Dream with Me, produced by David Foster, available June 14 across Canada.

On top of Jackie’s spectacular performance, Citytv fans will experience fun-filled activities throughout the square; have the chance to win great prizes including giveaways from both The Shopping Channel and Canada’s new online shopping destination for everything beauty, eBeauty.ca; enjoy free food; and meet their favourite Citytv personalities.
