Citytv, CityLine Supports Shelter from the Storm
A Special Episode Dedicated to Women Affected by Domestic Violence

(Toronto – April 28, 2010) Citytv, CityLine with Host Tracy Moore is dedicating a special episode on Wednesday, May 5, to Shelter from the Storm, the Canadian Women’s Foundation’s national fundraising campaign dedicated to ending violence against women. CityLine airs weekdays at 9am ET/PT/MT (11am CT) on Citytv.

The spotlight is on domestic abuse during this episode of CityLine where the live, studio audience is made up of women from local shelters, support workers and volunteers. CityLine guest expert, therapist Joe Rich talks about key factors in identifying domestic violence, offers suggestions on how to safely get out of abusive situations and important steps towards rebuilding a life after abuse. CityLine expert stylist Lynn Spence goes shopping and finds looks for four women who are re-joining the work force and provides helpful décor tips for small and functional living spaces. Shelter from the Storm is Canada’s largest national fundraising campaign dedicated to ending violence against women. Funds raised go to the Canadian Women’s Foundation to support community violence prevention programs and over 400 shelters for abused women across Canada. The campaign runs until May 9.
